About

me

Diverse experiences have shaped my journey in design, each contributing to my unique approach to problem-solving and user-centric design. The best way to explain my journey is by telling you the steps that made me the designer I am today.

Let me take you back to 2012, when everyone was wearing skinny jeans and Adele was “setting fire to the rain” 🔥 🌧️. Back then I started university and spent the next 3 years studying physics. After hundreds of hours doing derivatives I realized I did not want to spend a second more finding an X 🙅‍♀️ So I enrolled in a Design Degree. I started to have the most fun of my life. I learnt about the principles of colours 🌈, grids and layouts, volume and I started drawing again ✏️. After 4 years I specialised in fashion and went out to the world full of excitement.

It was 2019, Billie Eilish was the “Bad Guy”, and I had no idea what my next step was. But I come from a family of entrepreneurs, so I started my own business 💼 It was not as successful as it needed to be, but I learned a lot about business. I took courses on business management, business models, branding, naming and e-commerce management. I built my first website on WordPress with the help of Youtube ⏯️ I did not enjoy WordPress, but it was my first contact with digital product design. After a couple of years of trying to be my own boss, I decided to learn about UX and UI. 👩‍💻

I completed an intense boot camp at Ironhack, and on the last day of class, I was offered a position as a junior instructor. It was an opportunity to continue learning 👩‍🎓 I was lucky enough to work with four different lead instructors, with different expertise and approaches to design.

Lizzo said it was “About damn time” so I jumped into the tech industry and started working at Flat 101, a tech agency. It allowed me to create digital experiences for a variety of clients. From e-commerce platforms to telecommunication company websites and restaurant chain apps 💪 I learned how to balance end-user needs and business goals, how to communicate with stakeholders and how to adapt quickly. ⚖️

But life never goes as planned, so after a few months, my boot camp instructor called me and told me he wanted to work with me again. So I went back to teaching, this time as Lead Instructor 🚀 Teaching has sharpened my ability to communicate complex ideas. Mentoring aspiring designers has continually challenged me to deepen my understanding of design and stay updated with new technologies and methodologies.

Today my approach to design is informed by my background in both creative and analytical fields. I'm excited about the ever-evolving landscape of digital product design and am always eager to take on new challenges. My goal is to create meaningful digital experiences that resonate with users while driving business success. I look forward to bringing my unique blend of skills, continuous learning mindset, and creative problem-solving to innovative projects in the tech industry. ✨
